'I was here' is the result of a reflection on the mark left by tourism on the territory. The irresistible attraction for the exotic has ended up promoting complacency in the uprooting - physical, familiar, intellectual, emotional- that allows the tourist to recognise himself anywhere as at home, anywhere as nowhere, to assume the emptiness and to travel. The project is articulated around an amalgam of drawings - waterfalls, amusement park elements, souvenirs, etc. - that form an iconography of the catastrophe of the tourist spectacle. They evoke the frenetic sliding of the simulacrum across the surface of the territory and evidence the collapse of the tourist space.
